Looking for something to do this weekend? How about sampling some delicious barbeque while being entertained along Pennsylvania Avenue? Look no more, because this weekend is the Safeway Barbecue Battle XVII.

On Saturday, teams will compete for over $40,000 in prizes as well as the people’s choice award. There will also be 30 bands performing and games and entertainment for the kids. Stop by the Safeway Sampling Pavilion to get your fill of mouth watering BBQ.

In the past, this event has been voted a “Top 10 BBQ Event” by both the Discovery and Travel Channels. It is also the largest annual fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Clubs in Washington DC.
